Welcome to Golden Thread Housing Solutions
Working in social housing is my vocation, and I'm really proud of this. I don't believe there is a single factor that impacts a persons life more than a home.

I have a Masters in Social and Public Policy, an ILM 7 in Strategic Leadership and a BA Hons in Social Welfare.
I'm currently completing my CIH level 5 diploma in housing (if you haven't you should be too).
I'm currently a Board Member for Mears Living, the wholly owned Registered Provider of Mears Group and I sit on the Customer Experience Panel.
Previously I have held a non-exec role for a small Hertfordshire based Housing Association and was part of the Chartered Institute of Housing London Region Board.
My main experience has been in Local Government Housing, I've held two Head of Housing roles at the London Borough of Brent - first running their landlord service circa 10,000+ homes and then the New Council Homes Development Programme as well as holding the relationship with all Housing Associations operating in the borough.
Prior to that I worked for Dacorum Borough Council.
Throughout all of my roles, tenant engagement, quality assurance, strategy and policy development have been a consistent area of focus.
In 2017 I was awarded the National Housing Heroes New Professional of the Year award.
I'm driven to make social housing work better. It's about great customer service, collaborating with Boards, leaders, and residents. Getting fundamentals right with clear plans delivers real impact. My solutions are always bespoke; never one-size-fits-all.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business, a Foundation degree with distinction (Level 5 Certificate in Housing Practice) in Housing with Support, and a Level 5 qualification in Coaching and Mentoring. I also possess a Level 4 diploma in Housing Practice.
My degrees in Housing, Business, and Coaching/Mentoring give me a well-rounded perspective. This academic blend provides a strong commercial understanding alongside deep social housing knowledge, all while highlighting my passion for people. I genuinely enjoy coaching and mentoring talent to help them reach their full potential.
Since 2013, I've had the privilege of serving on the board of trustees for Children of Choba, a British charity working in Tanzania. We're proud to help over 400 children achieve an outstanding primary education every year, and my role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing the charity’s effectiveness, and ensuring robust governance. Additionally, I’m a Board Member for the National Leasehold Group, dedicated to driving best practice in leasehold matters (I've also hosted their annual national conference for the past two years!).
I've spent over 26 years immersed in the housing sector, including more than a decade at a senior leadership level. Throughout my career, I've built a strong background in customer service, housing management, and community development. My core passions include customer influence and scrutiny, retirement living, ASB management, safeguarding, contact centres, rent recovery, allocations and void management, PFI, and social value. My previous roles at Moat Homes include Director of Customer Operations, Director of Neighbourhoods, and Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing.
Beyond the strategic, I'm deeply passionate about coaching and mentoring housing talent individually – it's incredibly rewarding to help people grow. I am a qualified (degree level) coach and mentor
